What Is High-Dose Vitamin C IV Therapy?
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is an essential nutrient your body cannot produce or store. While oral supplements cap out around 200mg absorption, intravenous administration achieves plasma concentrations 50–100 times higher, unlocking therapeutic benefits impossible to reach through diet or pills alone.
At Retreat Mobile IV Hydration, we offer HDVC in four dosage tiers—each designed for specific wellness goals or clinical needs—delivered in your home, office, or our premium mobile RV.

The Science Behind High-Dose IV Vitamin C
Absorption & Bioavailability
Oral vitamin C absorption is limited by your digestive system—typically capping at 200mg. IV delivery bypasses this barrier entirely, achieving plasma concentrations that trigger powerful cellular effects:
Antioxidant Action: Neutralizes harmful free radicals and supports cellular repair
Immune Enhancement: Stimulates white blood cell function and antibody production
Collagen Synthesis: Supports connective tissue, skin, and wound healing
Energy Production: Participates in mitochondrial function and ATP synthesis
Detoxification Support: Enhances the body's natural detox pathways
Inflammation Modulation: May reduce inflammatory markers and support recovery
Research & Clinical Evidence
Cancer Research: Studies from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and University of Iowa show HDVC may enhance chemotherapy effectiveness and improve survival outcomes when coordinated with oncology care
Safety Profile: The National Cancer Institute (NCI) confirms IV vitamin C is well-tolerated in clinical trials with minimal adverse effects
Immune Support: Research demonstrates HDVC strengthens immune cell function and may reduce infection duration

HDVC Infusion Components
Our high-dose vitamin C infusions include:
High-Dose Ascorbic Acid: The primary therapeutic agent (15g–75g, depending on protocol)
Normal Saline Base: Pharmaceutical-grade electrolyte solution for safe, balanced delivery
Optional Add-Ons: Glutathione, B-Complex, minerals, or other nutrients to amplify results
All components are pharmaceutical-grade and administered by a registered nurse.
What to Expect During Your Infusion
Before: A brief telehealth consultation (required annually) confirms your medical history, current medications, and eligibility. For cancer protocols, oncologist coordination documentation is required.
During: You'll relax in our premium mobile RV or in-office setting while our registered nurse inserts an IV line. Infusion times vary by dosage:
15g: 45–60 minutes
30g: 1–1.5 hours
60g–75g: 1.5–2 hours
We infuse at a rate of 0.5g–1g per minute to ensure safety and comfort. Bring a book, work on your laptop, or simply unwind—many clients report feeling energized during and immediately after treatment.
After: Most people feel noticeably refreshed within hours. Stay well-hydrated and listen to your body. Some may experience mild flushing or temporary changes in blood pressure (especially with doses above 30g).
Frequency & Results
Wellness Support (15g):
