What is mobile IV hydration (and why people book it)?

Mobile IV hydration is an on-site IV infusion visit designed to support hydration and wellness when you’d rather not sit in a waiting room or you want a more comfortable, concierge-style experience.

Common reasons people request a visit include:

  • Dehydration from travel, heat, or a busy week

  • Post-workout recovery support

  • Wellness support during “run down” seasons

  • Special events (weddings, races, group weekends)

Important note: Mobile IV hydration is not a substitute for emergency care. If you have severe symptoms (chest pain, confusion, fainting, severe shortness of breath, uncontrolled vomiting, signs of stroke, etc.), call 911.

What to expect during a mobile IV visit (Southwest Ohio)

Here’s how a typical appointment works when we come to you from our Fairfield office.

Step-by-step: the visit flow

  1. Booking + intake

    • You’ll schedule your visit and complete required intake steps.

  2. Arrival + setup

    • Your RN arrives with supplies and sets up a clean, organized workspace.

  3. Safety check

    • We review your intake, confirm identity, and take baseline vitals.

  4. IV start + infusion

    • We start the IV using sterile technique and monitor comfort throughout.

  5. Wrap-up

    • We remove the IV, re-check how you’re feeling, and share simple aftercare guidance.

How long does it take?

Most visits follow this timing:

Part of appointment

Typical time

Intake review + vitals

5–10 minutes

IV start + comfort check

5–10 minutes

Infusion time

45–60 minutes

Wrap-up + aftercare

5–10 minutes

“Is it safe?” (What we do to keep visits clinical and comfortable)

Safety is the point—not an afterthought. We’re nurse-owned and RN-led, and we follow established protocols under medical direction.

During your visit, we focus on:

  • Sterile supplies and clean technique

  • Vitals checks and symptom review

  • Clear contraindication screening

  • Conservative, client-first decision-making (we’ll refer out when appropriate)

If you’re not a good candidate for mobile IV hydration that day, we’ll tell you.
